I’m New

Welcome to Immanuel Presbyterian Church!

We’re a diverse group of people – families, singles, retirees – united through Christ and our desire to share God’s love. We find joy in serving God by serving and caring for others – in our own congregation, in our neighborhood, the city and around the world.

New members say it’s our warm and friendly welcome that brings them back and leads them to make IPC their home. Get to know us yourself – here on the site, and even better, by visiting us on Sunday. We’ve provided a snapshot of who we are below, along with information to help you navigate your first visit.

Please stop by the Welcome Center located to the left when entering the building through the doors surrounded by colorful art glass. A Nurture Team representative will be available after worship service to answer questions during our Coffee & Conversations time.

Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning Service starts at 10:30am and lasts for approximately an hour.  Doors leading to the Sanctuary are open on the Clifton Street entrances.  Netting Building doors are open Sunday morning too.  Coffee & Conversation directly follows the service.

Coffee & Conversation

We invite everyone to come to our “coffee & conversation” time after church, located in the Parlor of the Church, inside the Netting Building (adjacent to the Sanctuary). Our coffee is provided by “Deeper Roots”.  A local roaster that has a great fair and direct trade ethic, making sure that growers in developing countries get paid a fair wage for their work!  This is your change to relax, deepen friendships and experience community.

Sunday School and Childcare

Childcare for infants and toddlers, plus children and youth Sunday School are available during service.

Immanuel Presbyterian Church is located at 3445 Clifton Avenue in Clifton, at the edge of Clifton’s gaslight district and the Ludlow business district. Becoming a Member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church

Interested in joining Immanuel Presbyterian Church? Give Rev. Rich a call to schedule a new member class.

You’ll learn about what Presbyterians believe, hear from leaders from different IPC ministry teams about how to get involved, and spend time with our Pastor.

You can join the church in three ways, by:

  • Transferring membership from another church
  • Reaffirmation of faith – you have been baptized in another church
  • Confession of faith – you will be baptized as part of joining IPC

For more information please call the Church Office, 751-0312.

We celebrate infant and child baptisms when parents are ready to make the commitment to raise their child in the Christian faith. We also celebrate baptisms for adults who want to profess their Christian faith.

Infant and child baptisms require that at least one parent be a member of IPC. Parents attend a baptismal instruction session with our Pastor. Baptisms are scheduled based on your convenience and the components of worship on a specific date. Contact the Church Office for more information, 751-0312.

A wedding ceremony at IPC is a service of Christian worship. Members can celebrate their wedding service in the sanctuary. We want to do all we can to make your wedding service a beautiful and memorable event that glorifies God. Read through our wedding booklet which outlines the process of scheduling and planning your wedding at IPC. Please contact the Church Office (751-0312) to begin the process or to get more information.
