In 30 years as a Voice Teacher, Vocologist, Acting Coach, and Director, Kathy Cammett has worked with hundreds of voices, from pop/rock to musical theatre and opera. She has held many positions as a church musician, not only leading choirs and congregations, but also as a singer. In the church, she believes music is an extension of prayer, a missionary outreach tool, and a force for good in the community.
Via her voice studio, www.GoldenVoiceStudio.com, students have won local to National competitions and been accepted into top music and theater schools. Other clients are Christian music artists, Equity performers, and some in bands among the American Top 40 and Billboard 200. Behind the scenes, Kathy has been an innovator in designing programs to educate and attract young audiences to the arts, chaired fundraising events, and served on the boards of a variety of performing arts organizations.
She holds a BA (Summa Cum Laude) in Theatre, a BBA, and a Masters (With Distinction) in Solo Voice Performance – emphasis on Musical Theatre and Vocal Pedagogy, and a Certificate in Vocology via the National Center of Voice and Speech. She also is the proud recipient of a Joan Frey Boytim Award via The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and a Finalist for the 2023 Overture Awards Arts Educator Award. She holds membership in NATS, The Voice Foundation, NYSTA, and PAVA.
